Spot Ons projects have been featured in Western Living online and have won numerous Keystone awards from Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Interior, including awards for Best Interior Design and Best Innovative Construction / Architecture / Design.
OUR MISSION
With years of experience developing high-end properties, Tanya specializes in delivering big city sensibilities to local neighbourhoods. “I love being able to make my mark on Kamloops, the city I call home.” Since arriving on the Kamloops design scene, Tanya has infused local cafes, clinics, restaurants, offices, and homes with modern elegance.
These designs reflect the client’s personalities, yet feature the custom tailored solutions that are unique to each Spot On project.

TANYA WASSEN
Tanya Wassen has more than 15 years of experience in the construction and design industries. Her journey began soon after graduating high school, when her interest in home transformations landed her a job as a project coordinator for a high-profile developer and contractor in Kamloops, British Columbia. The five years she spent in that role have been incredibly beneficial. She learned about the building process and became familiar with detailed drawings, which served her well when she went on to study interior design.
Tanya graduated with honours from the Bachelor of Interior Design program at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta then earned her NCIDQ certification, which is a credential achieved by only a small percentage of interior designers. She launched her career at a commercial interior design firm in Calgary specializing in chic corporate office and hotel designs. In 2014, she and her family moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, where she had the opportunity to work on numerous prestigious residential and commercial projects including custom homes, multi-family developments, restaurants, and corporate offices.
Tanya and her husband were raised in Kamloops and after nine years of living in other communities, they were delighted to return to their hometown in 2017. That same year, Tanya established Spot on Interior Design. It is the fulfillment of her dream to bring big city style to this former frontier town.
