Outlook for Peace

This space was born from the idea that families and patients of the Hospice sometimes need to catch a breath and take a moment to reflect on the lives of their loved ones. The design intent was to create an enriching, relaxing, and contemplative space. Spot On designed 2 main water features within to create calming sounds, as well as, provide audible privacy for guests.

Natural materials of woods and stones are contrasted with the comfortable custom designed built in benches and pillows. The views of the Kamloops valley are breathtaking from every angle and allows a person to just sit, be, reflect, and contemplate. This building is a true testament on how a community comes together and it was such an honour designing this space for the Kamloops Hospice.
